Description
Main Structural Features:
In oil and gas drilling and production operations, valves play a crucial role in maintaining well integrity, pressure control, and operational safety. Among all types of valves used in the industry, the API 6A Gate Valve is one of the most critical components installed on the wellhead and Christmas tree systems.
It is designed to handle extreme pressure, corrosive media, and harsh environmental conditions, ensuring reliable isolation and flow control in demanding oilfield applications.
FC Valve & FLS Valve API 6A
- Gate valves are mainly using for control of fluid flow in drilling well control system and drilling fluid manifolds (such as, kill manifolds, choke manifolds, mud manifolds and standpipe manifolds).
- There are two types of valves: visible and invisible bar type.
- They can be manually or hydraulically operated.
FC gate valve:
FC gate valve is full bore design, which can effectively eliminate pressure drop and eddy current. Metal seal is using between valve body and cover, gate and valve seat, valve body and valve seat.
The valve cover and valve stem are designing with back sealing, which is convenient to replace the valve stem sealing ring under pressure. The surface of valve plate and valve seat is spraying with cementing carbide. It has good wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
One side of the valve cover is provided with a sealing grease injection valve. In order to replenish the sealing grease. Improve the sealing and lubrication performance between the valve seat. Can be equipping with various specifications of drive device. The outlet can be dividing into thread connection, clamp connection and flange connection.
FLS gate valve:
FLS flat gate valve is a full bore design, high performance, two-way sealing flat gate valve. It has excellent performance under high pressure. It can be using in well head, Christmas tree, production tree and manifold system from 2000psi to 20000psi. Small fluid resistance: the medium channel inside the valve body is straight through, the medium flows in a straight line, and the fluid resistance is small;
The torque is small: the movement direction of the gate valve is vertical to the flow direction of the medium, and the torque can be effectively reducing no matter whether it is openingd or closing; the medium can flow in any direction on both sides, which is easy to install, and the gate valve channel is symmetrical on both sides;
Structure is compact, the valve has good rigidity, the channel is smooth, and the flow resistance coefficient is small The sealing surface is sprayingd with cementing carbide, which has a long service life and a variety of high-performance materials. It is safe and reliable, and easy to operate. The outlet can be dividing into thread connection, clamp connection and flange connection.
RIGRS API 6A Valve(FC valve & FLS valve)
High-quality API 6A Valves, such as those manufactured by RIGRS Oil Machinery, are engineered with durability and safety as top priorities. Key features include:
Body Material: Forged alloy steel or stainless steel, meeting API 6A material classes AA to HH.
Pressure Ratings: Available from 2,000 psi to 20,000 psi, suitable for both surface and subsea applications.
End Connections: Flanged, studded, or clamp connections as per customer requirements.
Stem Type: Non-rising stem or expanding gate designs for easy operation and reduced wear.
Sealing System: Metal-to-metal or elastomeric seals designed to withstand high pressure and corrosive fluids.
Operation: Manual handwheel, gear-operated, or hydraulic actuator for remote control.
RIGRS FC Valve FLS Valve Operation and Maintenance Guidelines:
Regular Lubrication: Use API-approved grease for stem and seat lubrication.
Pressure Testing: Conduct hydrostatic and gas tests periodically as per API 6A requirements.
Seal Replacement: Inspect sealing surfaces during maintenance shutdowns; replace elastomer seals if wear or deformation is detected.
Cleanliness: Keep valve internals free from drilling mud, sand, or solid particles to prevent erosion.
Torque Control: Avoid over-torquing during manual operation to prevent stem thread damage.
